Photography has been a significant part of my life since I was a child. My father’s photography pastime is what first sparked my interest. I was lucky enough to be able to shadow him – literally – when I was just a few years old. I would follow him around with a pretend camera and take fake pictures. Before I knew it, my fake camera turned into a real one. My father’s continued mentoring and guidance combined with my passion for photography made my education and career decision clear. I wanted photography to be more than a hobby for me. I went on to study photography in college and graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree in Photography and Videography. I shot my first wedding the summer following graduation and the rest is history!
It’s been 27 years since that first summer after graduation and I have shot more than 300 weddings. In addition to an extensive wedding portfolio, I have an all-encompassing portrait portfolio comprised of families, children, pets, seniors, corporate headshots and pageantry. About 22 years ago, I was afforded the opportunity to work with Future Productions & Casting Crowns Productions in affiliation with the Miss Universe Organization. Currently, I am the lead Miss USA pageant photographer for 8 states. This experience has allowed me to further advance my skills in not only live event productions, but also portrait work. I have been recognized for seven national award winning prints, which is truly an honor. But, even more importantly, I am thrilled to continue to work as a professional photographer. I am absolutely passionate about my work and look forward what is yet to come!
